This photograph is, by far, one of my favorite pieces art that I have created. This was taken in the back parking lot of the South Carolina Arts Commission using my Nikon D3200 with a slow shutter speed in late October of last year. The weather during the time was extremely gloomy and had a destructive feel due to the wrath of the hurricane that Columbia had just experienced. I feel that the dim lighting and dark, rusty colors, along with the broken basketball hoop with the mangled net, are the strongest parts of the photo because they accurately represent the mood that surrounded our community during the time. This photo is an art piece and a photo that I will always keep it because of the sentimental value that it has to me.
